Beaver Lake, Northwest Arkansas
Beaver Lake was created in the mid-60's when a dam was created across White
River. Its area is over 25,000 acres. Its amazingly clear waters,
abundance of wildlife, and nature trails make it a perfect vactioning
spot from spring to fall. Popular activities include hiking, fishing,
diving, and camping.
Redford's Retreat isn't only fun in the warmer season. Beaver Lake's best
fishing is in early spring and late fall. Autumn at Beaver Lake
has one of the most colorful leaf changing displays in the country.
And during the holiday season the retreat is decorated for Christmas,
it's perfect for the holidays and family reunions!
Also, vacationers and nature-lovers alike are scattered about Beaver Lakes
numerous coves creating a satisfying mix of privacy and community.
Climate wise, Northwest Arkansas also has comfortable vacationing
weather. Average temperatures ranged from 85 degrees Fahrenheit
in the summer and 47 degrees during the winter. Average precipitation
ranges from .5 - 1 inch a month in the Summer, to 1.5 to 4 in the
winter and Spring.
